There are some new features added (naming group texts, better management of group texts it looks like), gifs, better Glympse (so it says, but Glympse has worked fine for me in the past), etc. This looks like a pretty major update to Messages+, and it hasn't been without it's glitches. UI'm sure it will all work out.
Yes there was and when I sent a text to my husband he did not receive it so I had to uninstalled the update so he could receive my messages
