Message+ using /(invalid)/vzmedia directory

I see that when I save media files from Message+ it's using "This PC\Galaxy S21 FE 5G\Internal storage\Download\(invalid)\VZMedia ". There is also a "This PC\Galaxy S21 FE 5G\Internal storage\VZMedia". I see the last file in the latter directory is 5/19/2022. All new files are going to the path that has "(invalid)" in the path. Google Photos shows two VZMedia directories under the Library tab.
What is the correct directory and how do I resolve the multi-directory and "(invalid)" directory name issue? I thought it was always under "Downloads\VZMedia"/. I see another thread on this from 2022 but I don't see a resolution.
This is using Verizon Messages 9.3.0.
TIA,
Steve

We know it's important to manage your saved media files, milkweed2004. The directories that you see on your device will vary depending on the device that's being used (PC), and the application (Google Photos) that media is being uploaded to, etc. It is expected to have different directories depending on how you use your device. That being said, we also want to clarify that the "invalid" directory name usually comes about when pictures that don't have camera info are downloaded. Essentially, it's not a directory issue that needs to be fixed but simply how certain media is saved depending on the available information of the media. For your peace of mind, you can also create a new media folder and move all existing pictures to that folder, or simply move them from the "invalid" directory to "This PC\Galaxy S21 FE 5G\Internal storage\Download\(invalid)\VZMedia". Please let us know if this helps.

I'm gonna need more than a couple hours to confirm but no, the feedback I got doesn't make sense to me. I understand depending on the app it will save in different directories. But I'm only referring to media files being saved from Message+.

Thank you for these additional details. To make sure we're on the path to success can you please clarify that you app and phone are up to date and whether the phone has been restarted since this happened?

That's great to hear that your software is up to date. We want to ensure that you have a clear understanding of the information that we provided earlier. You mentioned that you do understand your computer will save photos to different directories depending on the app that is used. As far as the invalid portion of the directory name, that is showing due to the file missing camera info for the media as these messages were uploaded from Message+ and not a camera app. If you do want to save the files to a directory that does not include "invalid" in the name, you can create your own file on your computer and manually move the pictures there.

To be clear again. This has nothing to do with files on my computer or saving files on my computer from my phone. The directory structure I sent originally was from my PC when I was looking at my phone's file system while it was plugged into the PC.
My issue is purley on the phone. Saving media from text messages from within Message+ on the phone to my local internal storage, again on the phone is the issue. (see previous messages). It somehow has created 2 directories for VZMedia. The current directory being used to save media files from Message+ on the phone is the "invalid" directory. When I remove that directory, Message+ recreates that directory on the phone.
No PC is involved with this issue.

Thank you for the information. We understand how important is to manage your directory on your preferred app. To better assist you, tell us a little more. Do you have the latest version available for the app? How much free memory spaces does your device have?

You can close this topic. I've gotten nowhere in solving this issue in over a week of corresponding. I was hoping someone in the community would have a solution or idea how to resolve. Clearly, we're going in circle with the basics and I feel this won't get solved in this forum.
