You are removing Messages+ and advising everyone to use Google Messages as of June 2024. However, on the Note 20 Ultra you have removed the option for "call & text on other devices" in the settings. Please do tell me it's not your issue and it's Samsung's. A quick search turns up tons on comments about how both Verizon and AT&T forced the setting to be removed by Samsung so that they could push their own messaging app on thier customers through their own carrier UI.
As the Note 20 Ultra is older and no longer receives One UI updates, and you are dropping your own app, this needs to be fixed by way of a security update ADAP!!!!

With the Verizon sunsetting of the message+ app, I will be sunsetting my lines (after being a 20-year customer) with Verizon due to this poor decision. I am paying Verizon for communication services, not google. google messages is unacceptable and does not provide me with the needed security. Since google is a "free" service, I have no rights regarding how my private messages are handled.
I will be paying off the remaining balance on my Motorola phone (which will be subsequently disposed of) and one iPhone on my account and then moving to another provider within the next two (2) months.

I also AGREE. We got a Samsung tablet with exact intent of being able to do call & text from either device only to discover VERIZON nixed that ability. VERIZON stop handicapping our devices. Allow ALL features of Samsung phones to work as Samsung intended. I also have a Note 20 Ultra and Tab S8 + 5G and was not able to do what Samsung feature says I could do. Research led me to the disabled with Verizon. GRRRRRRRR!
Uninstalling Messages+ doesn't bring back native functions built into the device?

My first android. I've always preferred my apples and I got the 24 Ulster. I think in March since you've done this and I cannot stand Samsung. Ford Google text. I've tried them bow several times can I switch this 24 in and go back to my apple? If not, I'm going to a different carrier to trade this in for an apple either way, I'm going back to apple. Who says cause this is a really good phone. You've given me no choice

I don't like anything about. I love google, but their message text app absolutely not able not use it.And I will not use samsung rither
I am not happy Message+ is going away. I like the fact that I can send videos that are larger than 100mb through Message+. Google messages does not allow that. The quality of messaging through Message+ so far outweighs any other messaging app in my opinion. I can do so much more with this app than I can do with Google messages, or Samsung messaging. Since you are forcing this on us, at least improve the app so that it is more in line with where Message+ is.
Google Messages is so mechanical compared to Verizon Message+. I would like to still have that message system.
Verizon messages had so many more abilities than Google. Terrible to have to go backwards in technology so that kids can send a few emoji. Google messages does not have the ability to search messages easily, to send timed messages, to search for unread messages, and many other functions are lacking. Come on Verizon. And why can't we at least SEE Verizon messages? I have so much that wasn't transferred automatically. Terrible switch.
How about Google messaging app is just terrible compared to Verizon message+. Not nearly the same capabilities. I've hated this change immensely. I guess I'll switch to what's app or.... anything else. I might even have to start calling people again lol.
