I have message+ installed on my IPhone 7+ (a separate device).
It used to work perfectly, but for a little while not trying to send or receive messages would get stuck until I close and reopen the app and refresh it.
(This happens where some messages wouldnt send until hours later)
Now, I am not receiving any notifications when I get a text until I open and reopen messaging app, and then it will update with any texts I've received since I last opened it.
This is very frustrating!

We certainly want your messaging app to work without any issues. When did this issue begin? Has there been any recent change such as a software/app update before this issue began?

It's been going on for a while now maybe a couple months?
But the issue where the app isn't updating at all has been happening for a
week or so - there might have been an update i'm not sure.
If i uninstall and reinstall will i lose all my messages?
