I am regularly getting an error when I enter the Message+ App and hit the field to enter a text message. I get a message that says "checking server" or something close to that and it locks up. I have to close the app and start it up again and it works fine. It used to only happen occasionally, but not it is happening at least once almost every day.
Any suggestions?

TJmore18, We definitely want you to be able to utilize the Message plus application properly. We're here to assist. I'm curious when was the last time this application was updated? Also, if you attempt to use another texting application do you notice any errors?

Try deleting and reinstalling the app to see if that makes any difference.

I am having the same issues. The issue was intermittent for the past month, but I am currently unable to use the app at all. I went to my Google Play Store, my app is up to date. I am unable to uninstall/reinstall, only Disable the app. I have a Galaxy S7, and my system is up to date as well. I can use the Verizon Message+ app on my laptop, with no issues (not all my contacts sync but it works). I can use Samsung Messages on my Galaxy S7 and do not have the same issue. It is so far isolated the Verizon Message+ app on my Galaxy S7 phone.

RooseA, being able to use the Message+ application to send and receive text messages is crucial. I am confident that we will can resolve the issue you're with the Message+ application, so you can use it. When you open the Message+ app are you connected to Wi-Fi or to your mobile data?

I have the Note 8 and have been experiencing this same issue for the last two months. It's frustrating because it happens more when I am composing a text and I have to start over after closing the app.
