Not sure of your Moto g power 2020, but on my moto z4 here's how I set the notification for Message+ different for each contact:

Open a message from the contact

Click on the 'three-dot'   icon for options

Select Customize

Select Notifications

Select/expand Advanced

Select Sound and choose the one I want

Click OK to confirm/save
