Messsage+ Image Search

Since yesterday, July 10, 2023 I found that I cannot use image search in Message+ as it just says, "Something went wrong.  Please try again."  Is this a problem with my phone or with the service itself?  Either way, how do I fix it?  It has not changed since yesterday.

I have done all the tricks, clear cache, reinstalled, restart,  verify the setting.

Seems no problem for search for GIFs but image or video doesnot comes up with the error  "something went wrong try again"

App version I have is 9.4.1

I have a samsung galaxy a42 5g cell phone

Wondering was there update that occurred recently. Seems there is few customer with same issue that all occur around the same time in July.

smsdog We cannot confirm if this is an issue with the newest update, however, an educated assumption can be made that a change was made to cause this issue. Please contact the app developer on the Play Store. Their contact information can be found under Developer contact. I have also submitted feedback on my end. ~Peter

All  I get is these private messages but nothing seems to ever go further.  I have reach out the many times and even contacted the application developer email with the same information.  There is software issue or configuration issue. Is someone really assigned and debugging this issue.  This issue is popping up with many now. Really give me the source code I debug the issue or give me access to earlier release at least identify is the issue is the new release.

Agreed!

This is a weak response from Verizon. The app is called "Verizon Messages" so telling me to contact a random developer begging for a response and assistance versus taking accountability and responsibility for your branded app is ridiculous.  This is clearly a known issue and bug so please just be up front about it Verizon and give us an alternative. Any responsible code development will have the earlier releases that can be pushed out through their pipelines so I don't know why we are playing this game.

I have the same issue, just started to happen, I uninstalled then resinstalled, clear cache. I have andriod phone.  The main go to restart the phone. All ended with same result. Not fixed.

Have the same issue and it just started. Did all basic suggested fixes nothing worked.  Resinstalled, clear cache , restart cell phone. Have andriod gallaxy cell phone.

Not much, they took my data and they send information to the app designer.  I also suggested maybe it was latest  version has the problem. It seems many with this issue all occurred roughly the same time. So now this portal and app designer are aware of this issue. Where is goes from here who knows.

I wonder if there is way to load a older version or where to get a older version to install

I spent over 2 hours with Verizon on the phone and after a lot of wasted time she finally said to do a hard restart of the data. I declined. I don't need the image search that badly but it's irritating and I know my husband's phone has the same problem. Image search and videos are not working. I've done all the other things and nothing else worked. I'm just going to ignore it for now but Verizon's customer service is horrible and 2 hours to get no where was even more horrible. She wanted to basically sell me the free Verizon cloud for a month and then do the hard reset. She did not know if it would work. I would think by now they must know something about it

I got a response from  my bug report and it's fixed! At least on my phone. YAY!! If it's not fixed for you, go into the app & do the report bug.

My image search started working last night.   It's entertaining to see how much we rely upon a feature until it's not working and then realize how reliant we are.  Glad it's back up and running

I went to the Message+ app & went to 'get help' then 'report a bug'. They sent a reply today saying it was fixed & it was.
