My Samsung S5 will not send or receive messages over WiFi.

I have a good WiFi connection on my Samsung S5, but cannot send/receive text messages over it.  Here is the basics and what I have done.

Samsung Galaxy S5

VZW Message+ freshly updated

Integrated messaging works fine, I am able to send/receive from my computer on the same wifi network. 

Restarted my phone. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
