My email's been banned from sending vtext.com messages. Can I get it unbanned?

I had been using my Gmail address to send email-to-SMS messages via u/vtext.com . It had been working fine.

Yesterday and the day before, I made the mistake of sending a very high volume of messages. (This was because I tried to write a script automating some email-to-SMS messages, and I kept testing different versions of the script, which meant sending messages over and over and over.)

This was a one-time mistake. Going forward, I won't be testing a script and I won't be sending a high volume of messages. I'd like to go back to normal and use email-to-SMS the way it's supposed to be used, with an appropriate volume of messages.

Is it possible to get my email address unbanned?

Also: how do I even contact Verizon about this? Every phone number I've tried to use to contact them asks for info about my account, but this issue is not about me having an account.

Thank you for reaching out to us on this platform. We'll be glad to help. To better assist you, please tell us. Is your service with us Business or Consumer? Are you getting a specific error message when you send the text?

Wasn't VText shut down back in December 2023?  There were huge discussions in the forums regarding  email to text no longer working back then.  Heard something about business accounts having some new app or means to continue doing this, but I couldn't find information on it.

Good question.  The vtext service is no longer available to new customers, and may not work for everyone as it has been retired or phased out. This is an uninformed answer since it is not a service for specific Verizon customers. It is a capability for anyone to send a text message to a Verizon customer from their email.  There are so many more3rd party options for sending text from email now with the constant evolution of messaging.
