I am Verizon client who does not own smart phone. Instead I use the "Nokia 2720 V Flip" phone. The news that verizon chooses to discontinue next month the vtext.com website is devastating. It is really heart-wrenching. It is like verizon is telling that they don't like us.
Anyways, operating under the notion that it is no longer allowing text messages to be sent as of 12-12-23, that means I am to follow their direction to use "Messages by Google" if Id like to continue to send text messages on computer. That "Nokia 2720 V Flip" phone I own does not allow me to download this Google Messages app. I looked and looked, and tried so hard, to get it on this Nokia phone, but I am un-able.
Buying a smart phone is a cost I avoid. I do not have in my budget to buy a smart phone. There is the cost of phone plus the increased monthly billing charge, none of which I choose to afford. The $40 each month I pay for "Nokia 2720 V Flip" is as high I am willing to pay, and no higher. With inflation these 2023 days, I stay within my budget.
What is the solution to this problem?
