I just switched from AT&T to Verizon and my new phone is receiving texts. Both iMessage and SMS. However, I’m not getting verification codes from my bank or Google. Please help I need these codes to get my Authenticator app downloaded and to sign into my work accounts.

I found this solution on YOUTUBE.
At your home screen, click on the MESSAGES icon
Then click on the photo of yourself in the upper right-hand corner (or the graphic with a human head in it if there's no photo)
Then click on MESSAGES SETTINGS
Then click on SPAM PROTECTION
Then turn off ENABLE SPAM PROTECTION
I guess the disadvantage is that the phone won't protect you from getting SPAM messages, but for me, it is more important that I can get verification text messages.
Also, until I found this solution, I selected the option to receive a verification phone call from my bank. That may be a work-around if you don't want to disable the messages SPAM PROTECTION feature on your phone.
