Since installing message + app on my desktop, I have not been getting notifications on my phone of new text messages. how do I fix this? I have a Samsung Galaxy note 8. thanks!
We want to be sure your messaging app is working the way it should tsackett. Let's see what we need to do to get this resolved. Are the notifications working through the desktop app? Is the app on your phone up to date?

Yes I'm still having the issue. I have updated my phone and the app. I also checked all my setting to ensure notifications are enabled. They are not popping up in the screen, I do not get a message Symbol on the notification area, no sounds are made for the alert, and nothing is on my lock screen.
The windows App is giving popup Alerts, making a sound and the window is flashing.
Tsackett, thank you so much for all the details on what you've been trying on your end. If you have your desktop app closed or the computer shut down, do you get the notification on your smartphone like normal?
