I have had three text messages, 2 today, from people I don't know, the area code is out of my state and they are regarding photographers, a bid for some work and one that they couldn't talk right now.
Is anyone else receiving odd texts? I treat these as spam, and delete. I think if they get a return text about the wrong recipient then they might do something illegal that will just cost me money.
Have you done an Internet search on the phone numbers to see if others are reporting issues like you're seeing?

J0ee, unsolicited text messages can definitely be a bit concerning. While it's possible that the sender is entering an incorrect number, we do understand that these messages can be a nuisance. We do offer free number blocking for calls and texts. You can block up to 5 mobile numbers for free through your My Verizon account. I suppose that including a screen shot of the actual text is forbidden but I am on a limited plan for sms and these errant messages are taking away from my allotment.
