Online Messaging not giving Authentication codes.

I know this has been discussed over and over but I would think a solution is out there, but that message is too small to come to the top of the search.

My unlocked Pixel5a's motherboard fried, so while I wait for the repair facility to get the new parts, I am using my late father's iPhone 11 on an ATT account. I try to authenticate but of course Amazon and other apps require an OTP code for authorization. I go to the VW messaging page on my PC or Chromebook but there is no OTP messages.

I have checked the VW settings to allow such messages to go through, but there is nothing there that I could see.
