I see this has been a problem previously from previous posts, and I'm having the problem again.
I'm unable to access online texting. I can logon to My Verizon account, but when I got to Account, More, and then Text Online, it asks for my username and password, and then security question, and then username and password, and then security question, and then username and password, over and over again. If I instead chose to logon with my device, it also just goes to username and password, then security question, and so on.
Is there any way to get around this and access my texts online? I have some texts from over the weekend that didn't get delivered to my new phone after a phone replacement. I saw the missing texts online, but, when I tried to go back to them the last few days, I couldn't.

Hello, MAROLS76, we know it's important to be able to access your messages online. When was the last time you were able to access your messages on the website? Have you seen any error messages?

I was able to access texts online until I bought a new phone last week. When I bought the new phone last week, I had other problems with my My Verizon Account. Including, I was somehow demoted from owner and manager of the account to "member" - and was unable to look at my bill and such. Even though I've been the owner of the account, with the same phone number, for over 20 years.
I called in and was able to get that fixed after a few hours. But I still can't get into the text messages online. I mostly want to see what messages I missed between the time my old phone broke, and when I got my new phone. The messages from my old phone were only backed up through a certain point.
I see no error messages when I try to access my texts online. I just get bounced back and forth, indefinitely, between password, then security question, password, then security question. I've tried to log in and log out, I've tried different browsers, I've tried changing my password, changing my security question, turning on and off 2-factor authentication. The only thing I can think of is going into a store and having them delete my online account and try to register again from scratch - that worked for me in the past when I ran into a MyVerizon account issue that nobody could help.

The entire Message+ platform will be retired mid-2024 in light of the growing popularity of device based texting options. For now you can continue to use Message+ on your device. However, we encourage you and your family to start using the text messaging options on your devices now to ensure a seamless transition for your text messaging needs once Message+ is retired.~Peter

Can you tell me what you mean by "in light of the growing popularity of device based texting options"?
I personally hate texting on my phone and will defer to a computer whenever possible. Now Verizon has taken this option away and will be shifting all texting to Google mid-year. It seems that Verizon just cannot handle the support of text messaging.
I have been a Verizon customer for over 20 years and am definitely looking elsewhere due to these changes.

I feel the same way about the Verizon Texting Option, it's been important to be able to see and access my messages from my computer since my phone has intermittently been on the fritz this year snf even now is not working well.
And even now I can't seem to access my messages from my account when I am on my computer.
All I can see is the message log but I don't seem to be able to see the messages and the chat support has been useless, feel like the only option is I have is to try and got to a Verizon store and see if they can help .
I too have been a customer for probably 20 years and for the 1st time will likely be looking for a new service provider for my phones.
If anyone in this community has any ideas how to access my messages, please let me know.
The way they talk about it in the chat doesn't work.
Go to Acccount
Then More
Select Text Online(is no longer an option to select)
Thanks1

Hi Sue, The above message from Jav6 (about 6 messages above your message) contains a note from Verizon indicating that as of 11-Dec-2023 they have terminated the ability to send/receive text messages via a website. They go on to say that there is a Google application/site to replace the Verizon website but I have not had much success with this "solution". The use of the Google site is also prohibited by my company for reasons that I will not go into here. Verizon is also planning on eliminating their Message+ application on cellphones about mid year, 2024 so those of us on Android phones will also need to use the Google application (which means that I pretty much cannot text for business purposes). The only option left that I see is to move to another wireless provider that still supports SMS in house.

So I understand that we need to change the way we text on our phones....however until then I would still like to be able to see my messages in the Messages+ App, can you tell how to do that from my computer/web portal/
What the chat tells me to do doesn't get me to the message history.
Thank you

Could be related to the impending discontinuation of the VerizonText Online service as identified in the link below and the screenshot. For logging in to Texting Online now, I was able to get in (with difficulty) by going to this link https://web.vma.verizon.com/vma/web2/Message.do , logging in and getting a 'page unavailable', but selecting 'Sign In' again and logging in to my account again, selecting Account->More-> and Text Online was successful in getting into the text online service and my messages. Good Luck!

I appreciate the response. Ya, I figured the impending end of online texting will, at the very least, impact my ability to get help with this. It's probably not a Verizon priority at this point.
Otherwise, I've tried so many different things and just can't get out of the password/security question loop.
What's strange is that I'm now getting the security question for everything and not getting the push notification to my phone for 2-factor authentication like I used to get - even though I've turned on and turned off and turned that back on several times. And that's really what got me into this mess to begin with - my phone broke, and I couldn't get into my account with 2-factor authentication because I had no phone. I couldn't even buy a new phone online. So I had to go into the store, have them reset everything, and buy a new phone, which led to all kinds of other problems with my online account.
I think I spend more time troubleshooting with Verizon than I do with my family, LOL.
But again - thank you so much for the response.
