Partial (sent) text messages received by recipients

I just got a XV6900 SmartPhone\PDA. When I send a text message to another Verizon (or any carrier) customer, they only get the 1st 20-30 characters, not the complete message. Didn't have this problem with my cheapo Samsung. Any ideas out there?

I had this problem when my daughter got a Voyager.  I would only get the first character of her texts.  Turns out she had a symbol in her signature - once that was taken out, I got her entire text every time.  If you have symbols in your signature, you may want to remove them and see if that helps... ??
