I’m having the same issue on my iPhone. It just started yesterday. I’ve also been having issues with my calls cutting out do the parties can’t hear each other. I have an iPhone 12Pro, new in June. I’ve done all I can with the Apple Store to be sure it’s not a phone issue. What’s going on Verizon? You’re supposed to be the best!

Thank you for the details. We want to get to the bottom of your issues. Let's get a few more details. Are you using Messages+ on the iPhone? Are you have trouble calling the same people or does everyone cut out? Is there any pattern?
