Pictures from messages not showing in history on one device

I have Verizon Messages and some conversations on my Andorid phone don't seem to show the history of pictures. For some conversations, when I go to 'Show Our Photos & Videos' it doesn't show all of the photos that have been shared in that conversations. Seems to have stopped at a point. The same conversation on my Android tablet does show the full history of pictures and not all conversations have this issue. Any idea of how to resolve this?

That's a very interesting concern, RBryanPeterson. Let's take a closer look at what may be causing that change. You mentioned it stops at one point. Is this a specific day or amount of messages it seems to stop with? If you scroll through the message thread itself on your phone, do you still see the picture that's missing when you sort by the Show Our Photos option? The settings on each phone through Verizon Messages does allow for a set limit to be enabledm so the messages on the phone may be deleted as limits are reached. You can check that by going into Message+ > Menu > Settings > Advanced > Delete Old Messages. If this is enabled, the phone will delete older messages but the website and connected devices may still retain the full message thread for up to 90 days.

It appears to be one particular conversation. I see the images in the

conversation itself, but when I go to to the 'Show Our Photos' it doesn't

show anything beyond 3/17. Other conversations do continue to add photos to

'Show Our Photos'. On my tablet, this same conversations shows all the

photos. The Delete Old Messages option is not selected and I don't think

I'd an issue of to many messages. Seems to be an issue with this conversion

on this device. Appreciate your help looking into this.

Interestingly, on the device for this conversation now none of the photos

show in Shared Photos & Videos. It says that we haven't shared anything

yet. As new photos are shared, I'm still seeing them on the other device

though.

Thanks for filling us into a few more details, RBryanPeterson. What model Android are you using that's presenting you with this trouble? Since this is only happening with one particular contact/thread, have you tried to delete the thread from your phone and see if a new thread with new messages and pictures appear in the phone history?

I spoke with Verizon technical support and at their suggestion, I went into

Application Manager, deleted application data, forced stopped the app and

restarted. That has seemed to resolve the issue.

That's not really a resolution, that's a highly invasive fix that I wouldn't imagine would restore the images that you already had received, or did it?  BTW despite what my avatar says, I am not a novice.
