Ok, so then there probably shouldn't be a 'Start a Discussion' choice offered when you are in the home screen.
I guess the drop down menu's stay the same though on each page.
It should say Select a place first., then start a discussion. A simple message like this would really help... 'To post to the forum, please select a place and then Start a Discussion. At least i figured out how to do it myself and this may help others out there.
Start a new topic or ask questions in the open forum.
