Hi there! My two friends and I were in a group chat, and have been for months. We each have a different cell carrier and different phones (I have an iPhone). All of the sudden, a new group chat thread appears with an additional number none of us know. This “person” claims that it randomly happened. The odds of this person having all of our numbers is really unlikely
However, I’m concerned because they sent their current location via Apple (iMessage). There was no wording with the location, and upon a couple texts back and forth, the person said they didn’t know how it happened. I stupidly clicked on the location...
Is anyone else experiencing this? Does it sound like a hacking attempt?

I personally keep in touch with everyone through messaging myself, so I understand the importance of getting this problem fixed right away. Has this happened more than once or was this an isolated occurrence? Have you tried ending that group message and starting another one? Does it still occur in the new group? EdwardL_VZW
