Restoring text messages

I am unable to download my text messages from the cloud to my Sony Xperia.  Have tried several times to "restore" messages, with no success.  Any help would be appreciated!?

I have the same issue with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4. It goes to restore with in 1 second it says complete, but it didn't restore any messages.

You may want to try an alternative way of backing up your texts, such as using SMS Backup and Restore from the Play Store:
