SIM in your old phone does nor support eSim transfer

Hi all,

This is more of an update and feedback back to Apple and Verizon than a question.

I got my new iPhone 16 Pro today and activated the transfer from my iPhone 14 Pro. I was half way through he eSIM transfer when "SIM in your old phone does nor support eSim transfer" showed up. The means my Phone # was gone from the iPhone 14 and not activated on the iPhone 16. So no phone.

I started to text with Verizon and they blamed it on an iOS 18 software mistake.

The only resolution they had was that I had to go in to a Verizon store to fix it. Truly amazing and just made me baffled. My new iPhone even showed up on the Verizon account screen but no, they were not able to activate it.

The only good to come out of this was that I had to go to a store so I was able to change over to T-Mobile and save me some money that I had procrastinated on forever.
