With the retirement of Verizon messages I cannot send and receive text messages on my work computer as I cannot access Google Messages and cannot have my cellphones at work.
Is there another way to send and receive SMS and MMS messages?

Are you referring to an email to text app? The old Vtext and VzwPix apps aren't supported any longer and I'd heard a rumor these apps are going to be retired, as was Messages+. If this is a work computer and a Verizon business account, business customers have something new called EMAG to use. I'd contact your Verizon representative and have them transition you to the new app. If you don't have a business account with Verizon, then the only other thing is to look for a 3rd party app.

No, I'm talking about Verizon messages where you could view send and receive regular SMS text messages on a computer.

Thanks for the update. I did look elsewhere, and if you can't access Google Messages for this purpose, there are several other apps which would do the trick. Microsoft Teams, Nextiva, and WhatsApp are a few of the suggestions which came up.

Yes, the Verizon Message system that you could use over a computer has been retired and is no longer available. There is no other way to send or receive SMS and MMS messages except from the device itself.

For SMS in Teams it has to be enabled in the Teams admin settings.
Cannot access the WhatsApp website at work.
Nextiva is more geared towards businesses.

If you don't have admin rights to adjust the settings in Teams, can you consult with your IT department? A lot of companies block outside downloads and/or websites.

Unfortunately no I don't think they would change the setting just for me.

Hello JustinMcInvale. We're glad that you were able to use the Verizon Message system to stay in touch. With that system's retirmenet, there is no longer a way to send messages online through Verizon. You will need to use 3rd party services. You will need to communicate with your company for an acceptable 3rd party solution. -James

The OP said they can't have their personal cell phone with them at work, so they can't link their phone to the work computer using Phone Link.
