I was looking for specific text messages, and I noticed my messages from January 1st 2024 and earlier were deleted. I'm using Verizon Message+, through the Google Play store. I'm using an Android S20FE phone, with the native 128G memory, 256G on a SD card. I openef the native Samsung messages app, and downloaded the Google messages app, and the messages only go back to the beginning of 2024. . I'd love to retrieve earlier messages that have importance, but they appear to be gone forever .
Is it true that Message+ will be obsolete in June 2024? If so, I will use another app .
Thank you!

I removed the Verizon Messages+ app from my phone and installed the Google Messages app. It does a great job and filters out spam messages well.
Thanks!

Yes, Verizon's Messages+ app is shutting down in June (3 months). As for not seeing anything earlier than the start of 2024 on the app, I did some fishing around on the Verizon website as I don't use this app. If you subscribed to Integrated Messaging on Messages+ so it syncs all your messages across multiple devices, the server only keeps 90 days' worth of messages.
