Stop receiving texts when bill is ready.

Apologies if this is in the wrong board. I have seen variations of this question dated as far back as 2017 but nothing that fits my scenario.

I am the account owner. I do not allow Verizon to take money directly out of my bank account.

I have both SMS and email deselected in the billing communication options.

I cannot deselect "push notification". I assumed push notification worked with the My Verizon app. I de-installed that since I have no use for it, but it may default the communications to SMS.

I still receive text messages from Verizon when my bill is "ready" - like I've been somehow anxiously awaiting it. Is there any way to stop this?

I'm an adult living with ADHD. The physical bill I receive in the mail is my trigger to pay Verizon. I do not need any other notification from them. My preference is never to hear from Verizon unless there is some kind of problem. But it seems like that is out of my control.

Thanks for reaching out. Our goal is to help. We're unable to opt you out of bill notifications.

I need a little clarification. Are you as a VZW customer service person unable to opt me out of the notifications, or am I as the customer unable to opt out of the notifications?

Next question: If I can't opt out, can I get them sent to me via email rather than via a text?

Third question: does my account come with an email address by any chance?

AddedValue62,

Thank you for reaching out. We are here to help. You can choose your preference for notifications in your My Verizon account. You can receive text or email or both. We do not provide email addresses with your mobile service.
