In Messages, you have integrated messaging, which means multiple devices can be connected together. When connected, texts are sent to both connected devices. If you go into Messages, settings, Manage Devices, click that. It will show the devices that are connected. To stop receiving texts on both the phone and tablet, click Disconnect on the tablet. This should stop the tablet from receiving the text also.

Hlmc, Let's get everything untangled, so you can text worry-free! With Verizon Messages+, you can sign in to your My Verizon, and use your tablet and your phone to text from your phone number. To clarify, is your tablet getting text messages just from one phone number, or from multiple numbers?

The tablet doesn't support text messages sent directly to and from its line of service number. I can only sync with a phone number associated with a cell phone through the Verizon Messages+ application.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
