Texts are deleted off the verizon servers as soon as the message is confirmed delivered, they are not retrievable and are not stored on the servers. Only way to see a message is to save it on the handset.

Not quite true. They are stored for a short period of time, but a court order is needed to see them. I have read anything from 3days to a longer period.
However, according to the phone you have, when you delete a message, it MAY be placed in a deleted text folder, much like email through Outlook.
Though totally off topic, Although not Verizon, When Detroit's former mayor was caught in a texting scandal SkyTel was able to retrieve the messages from YEARS prior.

We only keep text messages on file for 10 days or 240 hours. Once this period has occured the messages are deleted from our system and are no longer available. Hope this helps.

Hello! Does this mean that, even with a court order, the text messages would not be retrievable after ten days? Thanks!

Correct, the content can not be retrievable if it has been more than 240 hours since the message was delivered.

even if you get a subpoena? Can you only retreive those within the past 240 hours or 10 days? Meaning, I assume, the sooner the subpoena is done, the better?
