Can you make the contact name appear on the lock screen when you receive a new text message. Mine just displays the phone number.
Being aware of who is messaging you is a very important part of the wireless service, J_meyer830. This function would primarily depend on the type of device you use and if the number has been saved as a contact. What is the make/model of phone you use? What messaging application do you use? For example, the native messaging application that came pre-installed on the phone. Looking forward to hearing back.
