On occasion, text messages come in as emails with attachments- typically starts as a group text. Verizon tech support has not been able to figure it out except to get rid of group text and reset phone setting.

Yes this would be the way to resolve this. I will check on my test demo devices.

The issue with text coming in as text can definitely be frustrating ELLREU65 . We would love to look more into this issue for you. What phone do you have? Have you always had this issue with your phone or did it start to happen once you updated your phone or added a specific app.

I have had an an iphone 6 for about 2 years and this problem started happening about 10 months ago. I forwarded two emails as examples to the Verizon rep but I got an undeliverable message back. I am very frustrated. I keep having to go back to factory settings but it keeps happening - not every time but often.

Let's look into this more. I know how important it is to have your messages go through properly. Let's make sure your phone is set up correctly. Are you using iMessage or regular text messagaging? Is your phone up to date with the latest software?

With regard to this message, please also check your
1- EMAIL settings on your mobile device.
2- EMAIL settings from a computer browser (since mobile settings might be limited)
You might have inadvertently activated something like...'send copy of text messages to email'.
The app does not automatically send copies of texts to your email.
