For months my wife and I have noticed problems with text messages getting combined with messages from months ago. Basically it is half of a current message with half of a message that hasn't existed on either phone in a very long time. We also have issues every day with texts that show as sent but are never delivered, text that show as not sent that are delivered, and texts that show as not sent and never will send. Some of these are MMS, some are not. Same goes for picture messages. Some send, some send very slowly, some never send.. Some say they send, but are never delivered. This is all very frustrating and annoying. And it isn't only happening when we message each other. We have both had the same problems when messaging other people as well. We all have different phones, and are even on different plans. I am assuming this is just a quality of service issue given the number of responses you get online when you search for Verizon and text problems. What I want to know is what Verizon is doing to address the issues, why they seem to archiving text messages that not even I would want to keep, and why they charge so much for a service that is not reliable....
Have you tried taking out the battery for 15 sec, then putting it back in? It usually fixes texting issues like that.
