Text to a five digit number

When I try to text to a 5 digit number I get a message saying"Message+ would like to sand a message to xxxxx. This may cause charges on your mobile account.  I am using a Kyocera Duraforce Pro that I just got. I don't recall getting this message before on any Verizon phone prior to this. I have always texted to my bank using the 5 digit code, and never got this message before.  Is there a way to shut this off?  Thanks

I saw that message recently too. I figured it was just a notification to remind users that some short codes will charge back to your bill.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
