Text to a five digit number

When I try to text to a 5 digit number I get a message saying"Message+ would like to sand a message to xxxxx. This may cause charges on your mobile account.  I am using a Kyocera Duraforce Pro that I just got. I don't recall getting this message before on any Verizon phone prior to this. I have always texted to my bank using the 5 digit code, and never got this message before.  Is there a way to shut this off?  Thanks

I saw that message recently too. I figured it was just a notification to remind users that some short codes will charge back to your bill.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

We want to be sure we clear up any confusion regarding the message you receive when texting a 5 digit number, ctfan and I’m happy to help.

As Ann154 mentioned, this particular notification is a reminder that there may be short code messages that will result in charges towards your account. Removing this specific notification is not an option at this time. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions or concerns and we will be ready to continue helping.
