Texting Verizon Members?

Hi, I have the friends and family plan with 250 texts per month included. I heard a rumor that when I text other verizon wireless members, those texts don't count towards my total 250. In other words, texting from verizon to verizon is free and unlimited? This doesn't seem right, but I wanted to double check. Thanks!

If you have the $5 feature for 250 messages then texting to VZW #s WILL deduct from your allowance. You need to have the $10 package or higher to get unlimited vzw-vzw messages.

 

As a reminder you can dial #DATA (#3282) from your phone to check your sent/received messages already used.
