I use the message plus app to text over WI-FI when I do not have a network connection and it has always worked without issue but suddenly it has stopped working. I have contacted Verizon and they do not have any suggestions on how to fix this. Is anyone else having this issue or have any suggestions on what I can do to fix this problem.

You can try to clear app cache and data by going to manage apps in settings and then scrolling to the messages+ app.
If it is an issue with the app this should resolve it.

I have done that and it did not help. I have removed the app and re-installed it, put my phone in safe mode to see if it was another app causing an issue, deleted the wi-fi connection and re-established it but nothing seems to help. I am at the point where I factory restart my phone or install a different texting app because I don't believe the issue is with my phone. All other apps and internet are working with just a WI-FI connection. I believe it is a Verizon issue at this point but they say it is not an issue with the app.

What kind of phone do you have? Did you update the phone recently?

HTC ONE M8. I did not update it recently but I checked it the other day and it said no update available so that is not the problem either. Just so frustrating

If you have put in safe mode and are still having issues this normally means there is a problem with the phone itself, however in safe mode I don't believe it is going to allow communications via wifi anyhow.....
What kind of phone?

We want to make sure you are all set with your device, JESSMO11. With regards to your phone lets make sure you are all set. When did you start having this issue? Has there been any changes on your device prior to that happening?
