I have the S8+, my Verizon text message app just stop working. How do I fix this?

I just went to the play store uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Working fine now with all my messages. Intried that earlier and it didnt work but did for me just now. Who knows what the problem is or was

I'm so sorry for the delay, Dannagoins. I know how heavily I rely on my messaging app to communicate with my friends and family. 

A couple of days ago, we recognized some users experience the Verizon Messages (Message + app crashing). 

It should be resolved at this time. Please let me know if you are still having problems. If you are, please uninstall the updates to the app by going to

(settings> apps & notifications > Verizon Messages > upper right corner 3 dots> uninstall updates).
