When this was our only phone, we had someone at Verizon store who knew how to turn off SMS because all we got was spam.\
Years later, family members have phones too and use SMS.
How do we get SMS enabled again for our Treo 650?
The local store doesn't know how and said ask online.

Have the Account Owner or an Account Manager log into their on-line MyVerizon account and remove the text block on that line or call Customer Service and have them remove it. You'll then either have to pay per text or choose a text plan (currently $10 for 1000 texts).

it is a feature block. the reps at your local store SHOULD know how to take off the " block text messaging feature". if they cant figure it out customer service can fix it in no time
How exactly do I contact customer service about this?
I'm not the "Account Manager" for the family.

I can definitely confirm that the local store has only "sales representatives" -- that's what they say they are.
They don't know anything more than to say "contact Customer Service online"
That, I guess, is what I"m trying to do right here.
