The Verizon messages app is connected to my cellphone which is an Casio G'zOne flip phone. The phone i used previous to the switch a month or so ago was even older Casio. Resetting the iPad has no effect On the problem.
I've read that sometimes older phones aren't compatible with the messages app, but i used it successfully on both devices for more than a year, and even now the txt message notification still comes in on my iPad, and I can even respond to it if I'm using my iPad at that moment, but when I switch over to the messages app, it is a blank white screen other than the Verizon logo.
