Verizon Message+ Multiple Different views of same messages
I expect that when I look at Verizon Message+ on any of my devices I will see the same messages and contacts.
I have Verizon Message+ on
- Desktop – Windows 10 Pro – OS Build 19042.1165 -- Verizon Message+ 3.0.0
- Laptop – Windows 10 Pro – OS Build 19042.1165 -- Verizon Message+ 3.0.0
- Phone Galaxy S21 5G – Android Version 11 – Verizon Message+ 8.0.6
- Online Verizon texting/message
I can get four different views. I cannot figure out if any have a superset of all messages.
On my phone I see messages from HomeDepot (Code 65624), I see it on my laptop, but not on my Desktop and online.
On my phone, there is a message from Bank but it does not on another device
The contacts on my Phone and Laptop appear to be in sync.
The contacts online have a more complete set
The contacts on my desktop are very few.
I added Verizon cloud on my phone, laptop, and desktop to backup contacts. The cloud appears to be what the online version is using.
When I look at connected devices on my desktop, the laptop I see four (as listed above) the phone and online-only show the desktop and the laptop.
I disconnected and reconnected my devices on:
Desktop – Sept 9, 2021
Laptop – Aug 31, 2021
Phone July 29, 2021

Why is this not working!

No worries, Jhenn. We can still investigate this issue you're experiencing. Was there ever a time that all 4 devices displayed the same and correct information for Message +?*Stanley

Prior to me upgrading to VerizonMessage 3.0.0 they were much better, but still off.
Before I could manually update the contacts on my desktop to be the same as the phone.
There have always been messages that do not get across.
It has gotten a lot worse since the update. I am missing text older than a week old on my desktop.
On my desktop, if have:
- I have Verizon cloud installed and connected
- Disconnected the app
- Rebooted
- Reconnected
Still not working
Bifurcating the issues:
1) Message not showing up
- Missing current texts
- Missing older texts
- No way to force a refresh of texts
2) Contacts not in sync
- How do I tell where the app is pulling contacts from?
- How do I get the contacts in sync across platforms?
BTW I did send a private message and I have not had a response

It sounds like you have been very thorough in trying to fix this and I want to look at every possibility to help make that happen.Thank you for the additional information. On all devices, in the settings menu for Message +, is each subscribed to integrated messaging? It is possible that through updates or changes, this setting could have changed. Some high priority texts such as one-time authorization codes, PINs from financial institutions and some others will not show up on any secondary device even with integrated messaging. They will only appear on the primary phone. *Stanley

All of the devices are under "Connected Devices". Does that mean that they are subscribed to integrated messaging?

Yes, Connected Devices shows all that are using Integrated Messaging with the same phone number.

In our family we use group chat in Google Messages. Even my brothers iPhone 11 works well in the group. Just have to make sure under the "group chat" option under "options" and "advanced" that you have "mms to all recipients (group MMS) and not the other one "sms to all recipients and get individual reply". I believe it defaults to the first one anyways. Also with Google Chat you can make as many group chats as you want. Sometimes I just want to talk to my mom and sister so I have them in another group chat. Same thing with other people. Verizon will be switching to this in about 6 months anyways so why not get used to it now?

Hello, Jhenn. We are very sorry to hear about the continuing issues regarding the content for your contacts and text messages not matching across all of your devices that you use with Verizon Messages+. We certainly want to help with this going forward in every way that we can. After you ensured that each of your devices have the latest version of the Verizon Messages+ app, have you powered them off and back on so that they can refresh? This can help with making sure that they are all aligned with the same content. -Brett

Brett,
It appears that you have not read my complete post.
The problem became exacerbated when I upgrade all of the devices to the latest version.
All Devices have the latest version of the Operating system and Verizon Message+
All Devices have been rebooted
All Devices have been disconnected and reconnected from Verizon Message+
All Devices are connected to Verizon cloud for contacts.
What else would you like me to try?

This is a common concern/issue of many users and should NOT be private, but public.

As the OP asked, it would be helpful if you explained how to send a private message within the community and exactly who to send it to.
Even better would be for you to initiate the private message by sending one to the OP.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Thank you Ann154.
I found a little icon on the upper right corner that is for messages.
I sent a message to vzw_customer_support.
I think this is intended to be the way to send a private message.

Messages from short codes especially banks are restricted to the phone for security reasons per the Messages+ FAQs.

Download and use Google Messages it's a far better program than Verizon Messenger +. Verizon is switching to Google Messages early next year anyways. You can also download Google Voice and make calls and messages through wifi or lte and you're able to read all your messages on their website and on the app on your phone.

It has been four months since I first posted this.
I have gone to private messages multiple times, posted on Twitter multiple times, and a "ticket" has been created.
No improvements, no progress, no updates.
Horrible customer service !!! @vzw_customer_support

Customer Service probably has to wait for Application Developers
(to provide updates),
who have to wait for management
(to approve/assign resources/development),
who have to assess customer needs/desires/complaints and cost benefits...
