A few days ago, the messages app stopped making sound or notification on my Note 5 when a text is received. I checked all the obvious settings in the app and in my sound and notification settings in android. Everything is fine and I hadnt changed anything anyway. So is it a problem with the app or an update?
Having your phone notify you of a text is important to staying in contact with friends and family Darors4. Thanks for checking the settings on your device. Have you performed any recent software updates? Are you using a 3rd-party messaging application or sound application on your phone?

No recent updates. I also use google voice message app but it has never caused a problem before
