As I said in another thread, it's almost (but not quite) funny. I just did the update to 6.4.9 this morning ... will likely update to 6.4.10 tonight or tomorrow. I haven't had near the issues others seem to have. Groups work, sending and receiving photos work, to and from those using Messages, iPhones, other texting apps ... I haven't seen many problems at all. So I'm either oblivious to them or just lucky??

I have 6.4.10 and it is has only compounded the problem rather than fix it. The app remains unresponsive and will not open.

I haven't updated to 6.4.10 yet; maybe I'll just wait it out.

Installing 6.4.11 now, skipped the .10 version. We'll see....

The solution is to remove and reinstall Verizon Messages. I did this yesterday and now all my crashing and hanging issues on my LG V20 have disappeared. You do have to resetup your preferences so know what they are if you're not sure, but it doesn't remove any texts and problem solved.
If, btw, anyone is experiencing smartwatch delays, unpair/factory reset your watch and let it all resync and those problems go away too.
