Hi, that depends on what messaging app you're using. I took several screenshots from elsewhere, and images have to go through moderator approval before they're visible, so check back in a day or 2 if the pictures aren't showing just yet. Hope this helps.
1) If you're using Verizon's Messages+ which BTW is dead at this point because it's being or has been retired as of this month (the shutdown date was right about now if I'm remembering it correctly):
This may or may not work anymore since Messages+ has been retired as of June 2024.
2) If you're using the default Samsung messages app:
The Trash folder has to be enabled before this works. Otherwise, texts are deleted forever.
3) If you're using Google Messages or you turned off the Trash folder for Samsung Messages, there's no Trash bin and it gets dicier to try to recover deleted texts:
