Starting 1/19/2010 (TODAY), Verizon Now supports Inter-Carrier EMS! You can now send more then 160+ Characters to NON Verizon customers! You will However, still receive that ANNOYING, NON Verizon Message, that has been altered to say FREE_VZW_MSG: Messages sent to non-VZW customers with Graphics/tones/formatting and/or 160+ Characters are sent as plain text in multiple segments I also tested this with some NON Verizon Friends! They Receive the ENTIRE Text split into multiple 160 character texts instead of only receiving the first 160 characters Exciting to see i do not need to REMEMBER who im texting to figure out how much i can text to them!

I know! I'm so excited, I tried it out and nearly fell off my chair in delight! Though I would love to know how to get rid of that annoying text message notice.
But either way happy days to us all!

I searched My Verizon up and down and could not find any options to turn this off!
