We have these great devices that access the net and Verizon is our isp for our phones.
I am not even going to get into what I think these plans should cost.
It reminds me of the pricing for internet access for the pc many moons ago.
It was expensive and and now it is not. And I imagine the cell industry will eventually follow suite.
So lets look at the $30 data package. Because your 25 meg $10 is just not enough.
But that being said.
You sell me a data package and that should include anything associated with the net.
Email, Im, browsing, Yahoo access, no restrictions or blocked sites.
And I will be looking forward to that day.
Because that is where we are headed.
For example... I have an unlimited data package. I can access the web including some web based email.
Like hotmail and live.
But in order for me to use yahoo I need to add to my data plan "mobile email". And then if I want access my work email I have to add "corporate email". All at additional costs.
Also.. I pay for text messaging. But you count email notifications and im's as text messages and deduct them from my text messaging count. That is double dipping and double pricing... Those im's and email notifications should be part of the data package.

I too wonder how long the can think they are able to go to the well.
I mean it only took maybe five or six ISP's to make it a fixed price. It should be just that "ALL YOU CAN EAT!" $24.99
I meant it how **bleep** are these people. Dang it I did not want to go back to work. I guess I will though. My bet is I can get it up and running with in 6months and then pedal it to the biggies for two billion and then have to figure which new charities to go with.
Watch for it people I am tired of it. Any one else feel the same??

I agree here too. My wife is up for her new every two. Went in and saw all the standard phones. They all suck. I have a Droid Eris... and love it! She wants to get one too. But since Verizon is starting to flood with the smart phones. All the "functional" nice phones are smart phones. That means an extra $29.99 a month. We are on a family share plan. That would make it just over 200 bucks. Now come on.. That's kind of ridiculous!! So why can't we just have a family share price for smart phones. Take for instance a family share plan with multiple smart phones. That can add up really quick!
Also smart phone users pay $29.99 for unlimited data. But if you want to have txt. That's extra.... Visual Vm. That's extra. How come these features are not included in the unlimited. Kind of silly... I'm sure Verizon will get the clue first to offer better plans at a better price. They did it earlier this year. And AT&T followed suite. Family share needs some love too! Don't forget about the Smart phone users.

This is the exact reason I'm switching back to Sprint when my contract is up - no double dipping, unlimited means unlimited, my data plan included everything, and they don't lock down the phones making them semi-useless.

Hve fun on Sprint! "The nation's smallest 3G network and fake 4G service." I have Virgin Mobile, which runs off the sprint network. worst service on the planet.

I am not even going to get into what I think these plans should cost. Get mad at yourself and everyone else for paying the prices. You want the best, you gotta pay.

Also.. I pay for text messaging. But you count email notifications and im's Not really, that goes through data not text messages. If it doesn't show up in your text message inbox, then its not a text message. as text messages and deduct them from my text messaging count. That is double dipping and double pricing... Those im's and email notifications should be part of the data package.

Why are you replying to a thread that has not been touched in 2 1/2 years? Someone needs to close these old things, if they have not had any activity after a certain point, they should be closed.
