I am trying to enable my Samsung galaxy tab S3 to pair with my pixel phone to send texts and make calls. When I click on the icon for the messages+ app on my tablet, it opens for perhaps one half of a second, and then closes. Ideas?

Oh no, that isn't the news we were hoping to hear. We now have to take that step in completing a factory data reset. Click here for details http://vz.to/2h3ANn5. Once that is completed keep us posted as to the outcome. Also, once the Tab S3 is done with the reset please go into settings>about tablet, what is the android version listed?

Does uninstalling and reinstalling the app allow it to work?

Uhav2bkidding, we see you're responding to a post that was originally resolved over a year ago regarding another Verizon Wireless customer. We realize the importance of having your service and applications work as they should. To ensure you receive the proper support, what are you responding no to? Is it Verizon Messages that you're having issues with?

We want you to be able to use that great app on your tablet, KIMSTU78. We are here to help. Hearing that the app launches and then shuts down points to either a compatibility issue or a software error.
Have you cleared the Message+ app, as well as make sure it is up to date? Here is a link with steps on clearing an app http://vz.to/2eVQ4p2
Is your tablet up to date with the latest software from Samsung/Google? Here is a link to help you check http://vz.to/2w8UDYe

I’m no fan of this not working either. Let’s clear the temporary files out of the tablet using the following steps:
1.Turn off the device.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up button (located on the left edge of the device) and the Home button (located at the bottom below the display).
3. While continuing to hold the Home and Volume Up buttons, press and hold the Power button (located on the right edge) until 'RECOVERY BOOTING' appears in the upper left then release all buttons.
4.When the Android System Recovery screen appears ,Press the Volume Down key to highlight ‘wipe cache partition.’
5.Press the Power key to select.
6.When the wipe cache partition is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
7.Press the Power key to restart the device.
http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-173557/ (these steps are for a prior tablet)
Again, this procedure will clear just the caches. If it didn’t resolve the problem, then you will have to undergo a more complicated procedure and that is the master reset.
