Why does my voicemail app require me to be on data to retrieve messages? And how do I turn this off? I don't need fancy Voicemail just basic
Visual Voicemail is a great feature, Amyjoyklein. For some, it's really convenient to be able to select which messages you want to listed to and get all details by looking at your phone instead of calling the mailbox and selecting options to review, listen, skip, delete, etc. However, as you mentioned, it does use data to use this feature, and you can absolutely cancel and use basic voicemail if that works better for you.
From My Verizon, you can select:
* My Plan & Services
* Manage Plan
* Manage Your Products
* Remove Visual Voicemail
