Over the past few weeks I've been having some of my messages w people be resent after 11pm and later causing confusion for me. I was reading this is a bug but it's been happening for quite some time. Is there a batch being sent down to fix this or is there an existing solution?

Unfortunately, Samsung got rid of their own messaging app on newer Samsung phones.  Here's an article I found elsewhere about minimizing the background usage and restricting the battery usage of the Google apps:

Verizon's Messages+ app has been retired or is in the process of being retired (the shutdown date was supposed to be late June, but the last I saw on the website is that it may not be until the end of the year now?).  In any case, time to get a new texting app.  Would recommend Google Messages as does Verizon.

Thank you Joeyrulz86 for sharing your experience with messaging and your phone getting hot. Increased temperature is a concern and should be investigated. Message+ is being retired and recommend using the message app that was among the originally installed apps. Check out the Samsung S24Ultra Troubleshooting assistant here:  https://www.verizon.com/support/samsung-galaxy-s24-ultra-troubleshooting/

Let us know if you have other Verizon questions qe can answer.

Been with Verizon for over 20 years.  Top of the line service,  always great customer service from the 800# directly.

I've just noticed this same thing.  Sent messages and they went through,  hours to a day later .

Lots of hacking going on,  and lots of servers moving,  or being switched out.  When one company buys another,  we get to use those servers now too,  and they weren't great to begin with.

I can't text my spouse when he's out of the house.  Just him.

Whereas before was never an issue anywhere.  That was the beauty of Verizon.

I don't even know anymore, updates happening so fast.  I don't know if there is a fix for this yet.  Or if there will be.  I actually came across a dead zone yesterday for the first time in years.  Unbelievable.

Except every one buy new phones. Nope. Can't.

I do know that you can push a message through IF you check your MMS/SMS status.  SMS will usually go through.  MMS will not.

Hope that helps.  It has helped me.
