If your wife is using a different voicemail app, especially if it's a 3rd party visual voicemail app or voicemail to text type app, those won't show up in the *86 voicemails. Another cause for not receiving voicemails is if your inbox is full. If you've got a lot of old messages, try deleting ones you don't need anymore.
