I don't see the GIF selection in my Text messaging app. I see the answer that it is still available, for the iphone instructions were given but I have an android phone. How do I conveniently do GIFs with android (I know I could search through a browser and copy, paste, but that's really not equivalent to the convenience I had before.

I use Google Messages on my Android phone and GIFs can be found by tapping on the plus sign icon at the bottom left corner. If you're using Verizon's Messages+ app for texts, time to switch to something else because Messages+ is being shut down. It was supposed to be retired last month, but the website now says end of 2024. However, the app's been acting strange and things are already not quite working on it as they used to because assorted things have been shut down in the background.
