Why can't I open the Verizon Messages desktop app?

I just installed Message+ desktop app.  When I try to open it briefly opens the following command screen and closes.

Being able to use the Verizon Messages application on your PC is a great way to stay in touch. Time to get the application working as it should. Can you please share what system are you running on your PC? Have you checked the security settings and firewall on your PC? Have you tried to down load it again? Here's how! http://vz.to/1gzzGcv
