Why does Messages+ always shows duplicate contacts?

Wondering how I can stop Message+ from showing duplicate contacts.  I do have my contacts backed up in Verizons cloud, but

they also are on my SD card.  So, how do I stop the showing of duplicates when composing a message?

I know its annoying to see the contacts show up twice pst2835. This can definitely be resolved. Do you see duplicate contacts on your Cloud space online? What phone do you have?
