Why does my messages plus app keep crashing?

why is my messages plus app keep crashing as well as at times having about a 3 hour delay of texts dropping in? I have cleared cache, forced stop, restarted and uninstalled/reinstalled the app. it doesn't do it all day but off and on during the day.  Any suggestions to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated., thanks Missie

My app started to do the same thing and I have tried restarting and uninstalling but it won't open. It crashes when I try to open it.

Same happening on my S9+ started a couple of hours ago, can't open it and keeps crashing

I have tried:

1. Clearing the cache. That didn't work.

2. Uninstalling, restarting the phone, reinstalling twice. That didn't work.

I am having the exact same issue on my Android phone... I have done the same as everyone else- cleared the cache and restarted, uninstalled then reinstalled... Any info would be appreciated.

Mine said something about syncing messages and now won't open. It constantly crashes. I've also done the clear cache, reinstall, restart thing.

Here is what Verizon on fb messenger told me..

Verizon is experiencing an outage with the Message+ application. Our technicians are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it quickly. At this time, we do not have an estimated time frame for a fix. Please feel free to reach out to us for updates. Did you have any further questions I may help you with in the meantime?

It is vital to have your Message+ working correctly at all times, we'll be glad to help. Have you updated your app recently? Please power cycle your device, leave it off for 2 minutes then try to use the app again.

Was this ever solved?  My app just started doing this today this evening.  The app crashes as soon as it opens.  I've tried restarting my phone, and uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

MINE STARTED THE SAME THING A COUOLE OF HOURS AGO? ANYONE FIND A SOLUTION? I HAVE CLEARED CACHE, UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED. RESTARTED PHONE.....NOTHING WORKED!

I have the same problem as soon as you hit message plus it crashes and goes right back to the home screen

The only fix I could find was a to go into app settings and uninstall all updates for the message plus app. Only a temporary fix but Verizon needs to address this ASAP

I did an update earlier.  Have rebooted and turned it off and on
